About the Book

Sh!t My Heathen Friends Say is a collection of tales about ten phrases that many of us hear quite often. They are about what happens when these phrases are spoken outside of our bubbles, in this case mostly while author Adrien Palmer was living in Japan. They are about understanding "The Other" and introducing a little chaos into our understanding of ourselves.

About the Author

Adrien Palmer is the lead singer of The Last City, a duo currently living and working in Dallas, Texas. He has been writing both music and short stories for years, but Sh!t My Heathen Friends Say is his first full-length book. It contains a series of stories about conversations and events that happened mainly while living in Hiroshima, Japan for three years. Raised in a conservative Baptist household, this book and much of his music chronicle the lifelong process of deconstructing and reconstructing what one truly believes about the world.
