During their E3 presentation, Nintendo shared a new look at their forthcoming game, Luigi’s Mansion 3.
The latest installment in the goofy horror franchise finds a spooked Luigi having to free his trapped friends from a haunted hotel. Using the Poltergust machine, Luigi will slam ghosts into submission and capture them to boost his power. Though set entirely in the hotel, the game looks to include a variety of environments to explore, from kitchens to botanical gardens, hallways to master suites.
We also got a glimpse at Gooigi, which is … exactly what it sounds like, Gooey Luigi. Gooigi has his own tricks, and seems to be able to navigate the hotel in ways that the more corporeal Luigi can’t. You’ll also be able to play in co-op, with one player controlling Luigi and the other playing as Gooigi.
There’s no official release date slated for the game beyond a vague 2019 window, but the spooky game seems primed for a fall release. Catch the new trailer for Luigi’s Mansion 3 below.
