Portrait of a Lady on Fire and Parasite, two of the foremost critical favorites from May’s Cannes Film Festival, just inked awards season-ready release dates from distributor NEON.
Bong Joon-Ho’s Palme d’Or-winning Parasite will be hitting American theaters on Oct. 11. You’ll have to wait just a touch longer for Celine Sciamma’s Portrait of a Lady on Fire, which is getting a wintery Dec. 6 release.
Both films were among the most positively reviewed films of the festival, with NEON quick to note that Portrait of a Lady on Fire currently holds a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, while Parasite retains a no-less impressive 98%. NEON is expected to push the two films for awards in a variety of categories.
