After taking a year off, The Avett Brothers are back with their big vacation bash, and they have a new location.
Teaming up with Cloud 9 Adventures and The Bowery Presents, the band have announced the details for the third edition of their three-day At The Beach festival. The trip includes three full shows from the Avett Brothers, as well as sets from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Emmylou Harris, Dawes, Shakey Graves, Trampled By Turtles and more.
The festival, which will run from Feb. 27 to March 2 in 2020, previously took place in Mexico before the move to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. In Punta Cana, the festival will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and guest will be able to choose from a variety of room categories with tons of different amenities.
The festival also includes three different stages, with music including shows on the main stage, the beach stage and a poolside stage, as well as multiple other activities and excursions for festival-goers.
“The At The Beach experience is naturally growing to become one of the most enjoyable performance scenarios we and our fans are blessed to take part in,” Seth Avett said in a statement. “It’s an event where the joyful spirit of the surroundings actually begins to match the celebration within the souls in attendance. For those interested in our music, it is vacation at its most memorable.”
Continuing the tradition, the “I And Love And You” singers have teamed up with Positive Legacy to make sure At The Beach has a positive impact. Through various initiatives, fundraising auctions and a donation drive, festival-goers will be able to help the local community through the organization.
Pre-sale for At The Beach begins June 5 and tickets go on sale to the public June 6, with a $250 per person deposit securing a room for what is sure to be a fun-filled musical vacation.
