The Cranberries Singer Dolores O'Riordan Dead at 46

Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer of Irish rock band the Cranberries, has died. She was 46.

The band released a statement on Facebook Monday afternoon confirming O’Riordan’s death. “Irish and international singer Dolores O’Riordan has died suddenly in London today,” the statement reads. “She was 46 years old. The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session. No further details are available at this time.”

Formed in Ireland in 1989, The Cranberries achieved international fame in the 1990s with a string of alt rock hits including “Linger” and “Zombie”—you can watch O’Riordan and company perform the latter track at Woodstock ‘94 via the Paste Cloud below.
