Patagonia, the outdoor gear and clothing retailer, has a standing policy of donating one percent of its sales to environmental organizations. Since 1985, the company has donated $74 million to grassroots organizations. Now, Patagonia has announced that on Black Friday, it’s going to be upping the ante.

CEO Rose Marcario announced in a public letter that 100 percent of Patagonia’s Black Friday sales will go to grassroots environmental organizations. The money will go to “small groups, often underfunded and under the radar, who work on the front lines.” Information will also be available in stores and online for customers to get involved with the environmental organizations, as well.

Marcario said of the company’s goal with these donations:

By getting active in communities, we can effect local change to protect the food our children and we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe and the treasured places we love the most. And we can impact global priorities, too, by raising our voices to defend policies and regulations that will reduce carbon emissions, build a modern energy economy based on investment in renewables and, most crucially, ensure the United States remains fully committed to the vital goals set forth in the Paris Climate Agreement.
