It’s that time of year again, where after hours of eating turkey and avoiding questions about “what you do” or anything involving the word “grandchildren,” we venture out to the stores to buy consumer goods on the cheap.

Black Friday  is a great time of year for the late-to-the-party player to stock up on all the year’s releases at considerable discounts, and this year is no exception, with many retailers putting on some fantastic deals. Let’s take a look at some of the best this year.

10. Playstation Gold Wireless Headset for $60 at Best Buy

If you’re looking for a new pair of headphones to wear while you play, the Gold headset for Sony’s Playstation 4 does the trick quite nicely. I’ve used it myself and have heard a number of similarly positive reviews from others, and for $60, it’s a cheaper alternative to the more “premium” options around for headsets.

9. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for $25 at Multiple Outlets

The Wild Hunt will also see a nice price drop to $25 at Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy for Black Friday, a nice price for one of the year’s beefiest games. If you’re looking for a great dollar-to-hours-played ratio, The Witcher will probably be your best bet. Also, it’s got a great story, an epic adventure and quite an endearing protagonist.

8. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate for $35 at Multiple Outlets

Want to climb some rooftops and assassinate bad dudes with elaborate schemes and British wit? Well, Syndicate will be one to grab, as pretty much every retailer with a copy is dropping its price to $35 for Black Friday.

7. Uncharted Playstation 4 Bundle for $300

If you’re in the market for Sony’s console, this bundle is a solid offering, nabbing you The Uncharted Collection (AKA three of the best games from the Playstation 3, all gussied up for the newer console) and a decently sized hard drive to store games on.

6. Splatoon for $25 at Wal-Mart

If you already have a Wii U but don’t own this phenomenal game, this is the deal you’ve been waiting to grab. Splatoon is a new Nintendo classic, and it’s one of the best multiplayer shooters of the year. At $25, it’s a steal, and you’ll likely get hours and hours of fun out of this game, which still has a strong online community and regular map and game mode updates.

5. Wii U Digital Bundle w/ Splatoon and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U for $250 at Multiple Outlets

If you’re late to the Wii U party, you can jump right in with this handy bundle that comes with two of the must-play titles on the system, the Squid-kid ink shooter Splatoon and the Wii U update to Nintendo’s all-star brawler Super Smash Bros. Wal-Mart, Target and Toys R Us all have this deal at a nice offering of $250, and Target is also offering a number of gift card deals with games like Super Mario Maker.

4. Disney Infinity 3.0 Starter Kit / Skylanders Superchargers Starter Kit for $35 at Target

Probably the best deal on the latest Disney Infinity and Skylanders games, this is a steal for either one, and both entries seem to be fairly good this year. With Star Wars hype raging, Infinity 3.0 is a great deal. Also note: Gamestop is running a promotion of buy two, get three free on pre-owned Infinity and Skylanders figures, so make a pit-stop there after nabbing this doorbuster sale to stock up on Obi-Wan and Donald Duck figures.

3. Guitar Hero Live for $60 at Target

Several outlets are going for good discounts on Activision’s revival of the plastic guitar franchise. Target has the best price so far on the single guitar bundle, at the price of a standard, non-plastic-guitar game. It’s basically the revival of both Guitar Hero and old-school MTV in a Spotify-style online streaming system, so if you like music in general, you’ll probably dig this title.

2. Bloodborne for $20 at Multiple Outlets

A $20 bill for one of the most atmospheric and delightfully punishing games of the year is a great deal, but you’ll have to be quick. Gamestop only has it at this price for their pre-Black Friday event days (Tuesday and Wednesday), but both Target and Toys R Us have it listed at this price for regular Black Friday goers. If you have a PS4, this is one of the best deals to nab this week.

1. Xbox One w/ Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Fallout 4 and extra controller for $299 at Dell

There’s plenty of Xbox One deals going around (Target has a decent deal on them as well), but this one is the most bang for your buck on Black Friday. Two full games (one of which gets you backwards compatibility access to every Gears of War game) and an extra controller, for all that co-op Gears of War goodness. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better console deal than this one.
